I am sorry Willow if there was a misunderstanding with these boots but it is the style of the boot. They are made to be wore with jeans or long pants. If you wear them with short pants or a dress the ankles will vanish. I am working on another boot that can be wore with a dress or short pants. Thank you again for your support.
